Q1. Tell us about your winning artwork. Where did the idea come from?
The topic "Future Vision" to me held unlimited possibilities. It actually took a while for me to settle down on the idea of traveling. To me, the ability to move from place to place freely and experience different things has always been something that I really enjoy personally. That's why in this work I proposed the idea of traveling beyond what we thought is currently impossible.
As far as inspiration goes, it's very open ended because we get exposed to so much media these days.
Q2. When did you start your career as a concept artist? Who has influenced your artwork?
I became a concept artist officially around three years ago when I went into the industry. Well, as far as influence goes, it really hard to simply pin point a single source. I was exposed to many things ranging from the events that I experience in my daily life to the fictional things that I notice in various media (movies, manga, anime, games etc.) there are just so many things that I come across...which makes it rather difficult to say who has really influenced me.
Q3. The floating ship is an impressive element in your artwork. Does the ship travel thru time and space?
Yes that was the idea, to be able to travel beyond dimensions, or warp through space.
Q4. What is your favorite anime/manga?
There's a couple actually, such as Bleach, Naruto, Spirited Away, Ah! My Goddess, Chobbit, Ghost in the Shell etc.
there are too many to mention heh.
Q5. Do you often participate in social networking communities or do a lot of blogging?
Yes, I do join up social networking from time to time, and whenever I get the chance to, but I also do blogging.
